Description

Building upon our flagship DART camera, the MeltView® DART2 Mini delivers 3x higher resolution in a smaller footprint. Engineered for harsh industrial environments, this compact camera is designed to fit into tight clearances where traditional weld cameras cannot.

The DART2 Mini welding camera is designed for demanding open-arc welding applications where space is at a premium, such as column and boom setups, seamers, and pipe joining (GMAW).

Like other MeltView® SDI Direct-Display welding cameras, the DART2 Mini utilizes High-Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging to capture both the blinding intensity of the welding arc and the critical details of the surrounding weld pool with high resolution.

  • Seamless Transitions: The camera automatically switches between arc-on and arc-off modes.
  • Direct-to-Monitor Viewing: Operators can directly monitor the weld at 1920 x 1080 HD resolution. No separate computer or software is required.
  • Near-Zero Latency: HD-SDI output provides a direct-to-monitor setup for immediate, real-time operator feedback.

Built to endure extreme environments, the DART2 Mini functions reliably in high-temperature conditions. When utilizing the camera’s integrated cooling capabilities, it operates safely in environments reaching up to 300°C (570°F). Optimized for close-range monitoring, the DART2 Mini can be positioned between 50 mm and 200 mm (2" to 8") from the weld, making it highly recommended for GTAW (TIG), PAW (Plasma Arc), FCAW (Flux-Cored), and GMAW (MIG) welding processes.

No. Our HD-SDI camera line features a direct-to-monitor setup, providing 1920 x 1080 resolution feed with near-zero latency, eliminating the need for a PC or software. A MeltView® camera controller is required to interface with and power the camera.
Yes. Shop air may be supplied to the cooling channels but never to the gas purge. Greater heat extraction may be achieved with a Vortex diffuser.
The DART2 Mini offers the exact same high-definition resolution and rugged durability as the standard DART2, but features a significantly smaller camera body designed for tight spaces and shorter working distances (50-200 mm). If your application requires longer focal length lenses, extended working distances, or re-focusing, the standard [MeltView® DART2] is the recommended choice.
