Not to be overlooked, video, audio and power transmission are critical components of the welding camera system in an industrial environment. Cables are subject to strain, heat, and electromagnetic noise, plus occasional accidental destruction. We take all of these factors into account when selecting a cable, or in some cases, foregoing the cable for a wireless solution.
The following is a quick overview of our camera cable options. Camera and controller models utilize specific cable types:
- Custom flex (F). Our flex cable provides the longest non-fiber-optic transmission distance and is suitable for high flex applications. We make this cable to order in 1m increments.
- X-coded cable (X). X-coded cables are a standardized solution for video cables. They are available off-the-shelf from several manufacturers.
- Dual power video (B). Our B-style cabling solution employs HD BNC and 8-pin M8 cables for the benefit of off-the-shelf cabling.
- High temperature (H). We utilize high-temperature cable over short distances as required and convert it to a F, B or X cable.
- Not shown below but also available are wireless systems and fiber optic systems for very long distances or very noisy environments.
