High Speed Welding Camera

RAD8 and MeltView® SYNC3

RAD8 illumination with the MeltView® SYNC3 camera

High powered LED lights enable viewing the transfer characteristics for GMAW or the keyhole behavior with laser processes at 1600 frames per second.

The RAD8 illumination system consists of one or two high amperage LED focused onto a small space and provides the advantages of safety, cost and illumination quality when compared to laser illumination. The RAD8 can be configured for different wavelengths and welding applications, allowing it to be used with our MeltView® weld monitoring cameras and high speed cameras.

The SYNC3 is tethered to a laptop and can record continuously, from trigger or manually. It is designed to easily setup within a cell so that you can work out the issue you are dealing with and get back to production.
