MeltView® PIXI Camera

The MeltView® PIXI welding camera, in rich color

The MeltView® PIXI welding camera offers a high resolution, high dynamic range image that provides unparalleled clarity during automated welding.

MeltView® PIXI Imagery and Setup

The MeltView® PIXI stands out for its rich color image of TIG welding. In our lab video demonstration, the tungsten tip and the perimeter of the puddle are clearly visible, allowing for precise monitoring of the welding process. Using the PIXI in color is ideal for monitoring narrow groove welding due to its ability to virtually eliminate arc bloom. This enables operators to observe close and critical aspects of the weld, such as the arc length, wire to tungsten relationship, and tie-in at the side walls of the weld.

The PIXI does not require software to operate. The camera offers a simple direct-to-monitor application by simply plugging in the camera to a MeltView® camera controller. Even with its simple setup, the camera offers high resolution (1980x1080p) and can capture weld details in real-time.
