GTAW Welding Education

MeltView® APEX2 Camera

MeltView APEX2 welding camera for manual GTAW welding education

The hardest skill to learn for manual welding is how to read the puddle. With the MeltView® APEX2, instructors can show students what they see in real-time on a big screen and record video for playback. The small camera mounts to the manual torch and constanty records and in-focus image. Welding out of position? Not a problem with the APEX2. Capture a view that mimics the view through the helmet, but in greater magnification. When students see these videos, a light bulb goes on.

The APEX2 has been replaced by the MeltView® APEX3 camera for welding education. The APEX3 offers the same qualities as its predecessor while adding a higher resolution with real time imaging. The APEX3 is offered in a welding education kit containing items needed to teach welding in a classroom setting and as the individual camera.
