Video montage of MeltView® APEX2 footage of short-circuit GMAW on carbon steel A588 using Spoolarc 86 .035 hardwire with a C10 gas mixture. The APEX2 camera is mounted to the welding gun about 4" from the weld in the first five clips. The last video of pulsed GMAW is made with the camera mounted in a fixed position.

MeltView® APEX3
The APEX2 has been replaced by the MeltView® APEX3 camera for welding education. The APEX3 offers the same qualities as its predecessor while adding a higher resolution with real time imaging. The APEX3 is offered in a welding education kit containing items needed to teach welding in a classroom setting and as the individual camera.
