Zalco shared a video showing how one of their customers transformed their tank welding operation with the MeltView® DART2 camera system.
The Challenge: Welding stainless steel tanks traditionally requires operators to work at heights with direct UV exposure—creating significant safety risks.
The Solution: By mounting the DART2 on a custom-built column boom, operators can now monitor and control the entire welding process from the ground in real-time, eliminating exposure to hazardous conditions.
The DART2 welding camera offers:
- High-resolution 1920 x 1080 image quality
- Rich monochrome or color image of all open arc welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, PAW
- Operates up to 4 inches from the weld in high-temperature environments
